Camp Ambassador

Champions for the Mission

Role Overview

A Camp Ambassador is a dedicated advocate for Flint Hills Foster Teen Camps, committed to sharing our mission, inviting others to get involved, and helping us expand our impact in the community. Ambassadors serve as the “public face” of the camp in their circles, helping ensure more people know the life-changing work we do for teens in foster care.

Core Responsibilities

  • Share the Story – Talk about the camp’s mission, programs, and impact in everyday conversations, on social media, and at gatherings.
  • Invite Participation – Encourage friends, family, coworkers, and community members to attend events, volunteer, or give.
  • Represent the Camp – Attend local events, church functions, or civic meetings and share the FHFTC story and mission.
  • Connect Resources – Introduce the camp to businesses, donors, and professionals who may want to help.
  • Recruit Volunteers – Personally invite people to join our volunteer teams for camp and events.
  • Fundraise Creatively – Organize small, fun, and manageable fundraisers in your community.
  • Celebrate Success – Publicly highlight camper achievements and program milestones to inspire others.
  • Stay Engaged – Attend occasional Camp Ambassador updates to stay informed and equipped.

What Makes a Great Ambassador

  • Passion for the mission and belief in the camp’s impact.
  • Strong connections in the community and willingness to use them.
  • Positive, encouraging, and approachable personality.
  • Dependable follow-through on commitments.
